ABOUT STEYNING

Steyning is an historic Sussex market town nestled at the foot of the South Downs.  Famous for its teashops, pubs and quirky local shops, and with a thriving community feel, it is a great place to visit.  The pretty villages of Bramber, Upper Beeding, Ashurst, Washington and Wiston lie nearby and are also home to many active artists.

On alternate years, the renowned Steyning Festival provides a feast of comedy, theatre, music, arts and more.  Steyning Arts partners with the Festival so our Art Trail and Art in the Park events add to the festive mix.

If you are planning on making a weekend of it, take a look at the Steyning entry on Tripadvisor to learn more and find a place to stay.

Steyning is a short drive from Shoreham-by-Sea, or a 30-minute bike ride away along the scenic Downslink bike path.  Steyning can also be reached by the No. 2 bus from Brighton, via Shoreham, or the Compass No 1 Service from Horsham or Burgess Hill.
